Dear Weather,

Could you do me a real solid? Could summer please stay longer this year?

I took this photo in my backyard and I'd like more time to take in the flowers and nature and whatnot. Also, if fall could last longer than two weeks I'd appreciate it.

Thanks, Danielle ;)

FallonTASTIC

Late Night with Jimmy Fallon had an awkward start, but I have been impressed with the 7th Floor West spoof of MTV's The City. Fallon plays himself in the mini-sodes that show him and his office dealing with the BS of office politics. Recently he was busy planning a special Friday night Pizza Party for everyone-- and I've been copying his "song" to the annoyance of my family for about a month now. Pizza Party song (4:55 mark).

Stay tuned for more episodes every Monday night.

Whatever happened to Nadya Suleman?

Although late night comedians still joke about Nadya Suleman, it seems to happen less and less. But, every time they do mention her name (or Octomom) I get to thinking about how her family is doing today. I'm glad that media attention has been diverted elsewhere (I was totally annoyed with the Octomom feeding frenzy), but I can't help but wonder what Octomom, Nadya Suleman, has been up to lately.

What is your typical day like when you have 14 kids, no college degree, no job, and only two helping (although completely stressed-out) grandparents to help you care your kids? What happens when the media storm that once surrounded you turns it's attention elsewhere?

I became interested in the Suleman's PR when I first saw an interview with her on Dr. Phil. I watched her representation at the time, Joanna Killeen, (who later resigned) stress three her main communication points-- AND talk about the death threats her and her firm were receiving for helping the irresponsible Suleman. Wow. This whole situation was kind of like a flash flood-- so many people had so many opinions about Suleman in such a short amount of time. How would anyone handle a situation like that?

I'm not sure, but I WILL be waiting to find out what happens next.

Too happy in One Tree Hill

Hey, remember me? I'm the chick that started this blog and then abandoned it in it's infantry. Rude, I know. But I'm back and I'm not going to do that again because I'm not rude.

I just finished watching the season finale of One Tree Hill, and I have to say... I'm a little disappointed. All the heavy loose ends of the last episode were tied up within the first few commercial breaks, and by the end of the hour, everyone's life was perfect. Boring.

Peyton didn't die from her tragic condition; Peyton and Luke's baby was healthy and happy (and named Sawyer); Nate got into the NBA; Mia's album dropped and her and Chase are happy, together, and in love; Brooke and Victoria historically made amends; Brooke has 100% ownership in her company again; AND Brooke finally admitted her love for Julian; Julian gets his girl (Brooke); Sam is living with her birth mother; and Mouth and Millicent are both pursuing their dream careers in Tree Hill. The only downer about this episode was that Dan is still haunted by his past and possibly suicidal. But, he's never going to get over it, so this plot device isn't anything new.

At the end we learn that the moral of this story is to continue to believe in your dreams, because dreams really do come true. That's great-- but, what happens after your dreams come true? I guess I'll see next season if I bother to watch.

I HEART fake detectives

My favorite detective team of all time is old-school Law & Order: CI's detectives Goren and Eames (played by Vincent D'Onofrio and Kathryn Erbe). However, there are a couple of new recruits this season giving them a run for their money. After watching three back-to-back episodes of regular flavor Law & Order last night on NBC, my love for the show has grown stronger with Anthony Anderson and Jeremy Sisto as detectives Bernard and Lupo.

Don't worry, I'm not forgetting about Jeff Goldblum on USA's Law & Order: CI either. I just don't really like his partner. She's kinda blah. If you haven't caught an episode yet, it's worth it to put up with the boring partner to see the brilliance that is detective Zach Nichols (Goldblum). Surprise, surprise though-- he's a little like Vincent D'Onofrio's detective Goren, with a little less street smarts and a little more (psychology) book smarts.

Ahhh. I heart fake detectives on TV.

We've only just begun...

This is going to be pretty amazing. I'm not making any promises, but my goal is to have something posted everyday. Hot topics will probably focus on all the media I consume. Welcome and enjoy.
